Danbury Baptist Church is a community of believers that strives to glorify Jesus Christ in all we do. That does not mean we are perfect in all we do, nor does it mean we never make mistakes, but simply that we are still sinners saved by grace.
In this day and age it is more common for folks to hear what the church is against than what it is for. Allow me to share with you a few things that Danbury Baptist Church is for:
•
We are for the preaching and teaching of the Bible. We believe that the Bible is God’s word to man. It is totally true. It is totally trustworthy. It is also totally sufficient.
•
We are for discipleship of all believers. The great commission commands that we “teach all that I have commanded.” At DBC we value discipleship through “Sunday School,” small group Bible studies, and the preaching of the Word.
•
We are for evangelism. The Bible clearly states that no one will be saved apart from the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that there is no other name but the name of Jesus Christ upon which man can be saved. Evangelism is not something we “do” but a lifestyle to live.
•
We are for fellowship. God has designed the church in such a way that believers are encouraged to gather regularly to interact with each other. This can be through a fellowship meal, fun outings, times of worship, and for the express purpose of prayer.
I hope this list gives you a glimpse of who we are at Danbury Baptist Church and what we are for. If you have any further questions, I would cherish the opportunity to discuss them with you. You may reach me via phone at 979-922-1365 or through email at jason@danburyusa.org
